Computer Based Test (100 Qs, 90 minutes)

Negative marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer. 10th pass/ITI eligible.

1. Mathematics (25 Questions)

  • Number System, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions
  • LCM and HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages
  • Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance
  • Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss
  • Elementary Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry

2. General Intelligence & Reasoning (30 Questions)

  • Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series
  • Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations
  • Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling
  • Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation
  • Conclusions, Decision Making, Similarities and Differences
  • Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Directions

3. General Science (25 Questions)

  • Physics: Laws of Motion, Optics, Electricity, Sound, Magnetism
  • Chemistry: Elements and Compounds, Chemical Reactions, Acids & Bases
  • Metals and Non-Metals, Carbon and its Compounds
  • Life Sciences: Cell, Human Body Systems, Diseases, Nutrition
  • Environment and Ecology, Basic Astronomy

4. General Awareness & Current Affairs (20 Questions)

  • Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics
  • Indian Railways: History, New Technology, Developments
  • Current Affairs: Last 3 months national and international events

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — Qualifying

Male Candidates:

  • Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes
  • Should be able to run for 1000 metres in 4 minutes 15 seconds in one chance

Female Candidates:

  • Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes
  • Should be able to run for 1000 metres in 5 minutes 40 seconds in one chance
