What is SSC CPO exam? +

SSC CPO (Central Police Organisations) exam recruits Sub-Inspectors in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB and Delhi Police. It is a direct SI-level entry conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

What is the SSC CPO salary? +

Pay Level 6: Basic ₹35,400. In-hand salary with allowances (HRA, TA, DA) is approximately ₹55,000–₹75,000/month. Delhi Police SIs also get city allowances.

Is there a physical test in SSC CPO? +

Yes. Physical Endurance Test (PET): 100m race, long jump, high jump, shot put. Physical Standard Test (PST): Height minimum 170cm (male), 157cm (female). Chest 80–85cm (male only).

How is SSC CPO different from UPSC CAPF? +

SSC CPO recruits SI (Sub-Inspector) level officers who are non-gazetted. UPSC CAPF recruits Assistant Commandants who are gazetted officers (one rank above SI). CAPF is harder, higher-paying and more prestigious.
