Start with Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning — these are the highest-scoring sections. Aim for 85%+ accuracy in Tier-I. Dedicate 3 months to Tier-I prep, then shift focus to Tier-II English and Maths.
SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) is a national-level exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for Group B and C posts in various central government departments and ministries.
Any Indian citizen with a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university can apply. Age limit is 18–32 years (with relaxation for reserved categories).
Salary ranges from ₹25,500 (Level 4, UDC/Tax Asst) to ₹81,100 (Level 8, AAO). Most popular Inspector posts are at Level 7 (₹44,900 basic).
There is no limit on attempts. You can appear as many times as you are within the age limit.
SSC CGL is considered moderate to high difficulty. Tier-I cutoffs are around 150/200 for General category. Tier-II requires higher accuracy.
